Cauldrons and Sacrifice
The cauldrons are said to have been cast in iron and illustrated with images of the god s. They were forged from metals offered up by the nine regional stewards. There is also a discussion of them being important to distinguish malign creatures, which are sometimes translated as goblins and trolls. The passage in question is celebrating the agricultural culture, hero and god. We take a ram to make the wayside sacrifice, roasting and broiling to usher in the new year. As soon as their aroma rises up, god on high enjoys it with pleasure. For hoji inaugurated the sacrifice with no fault or blemish. His people have continued it to the present day.
