I was told by the publishers in my management and said, Oh, don't talk too much about that. You're a singer, people want to look at you and feel happy. They just want good times that they don't want all this dark stuff. And it was really important to put that in this book because the world's ready for it now. The world is really ready for that sort of honesty. So you went with that shift. You could feel that subconscious shift and thought, yeah, this is the time.
