Do You Want to Air on the Side of Protection When There's No Science?
The Health Effects Institute which is a very respected organization that tries to do studies that are objective as possible. It was originally made by the auto industry and half by the federal government now it's got other support but it even its support is designed to make it a neutral arbiter. The fact that they were using an argument that was refutable to attack the validity of the studies was helpful in some borders. And so we were able to fight on those grounds without having to overstate anything or make it sound like the science was more definitive than it was.
