Can Latent Class Analysis Be Used to Find Phenotypes?

i know you've been a real pioneer and using an analytical method called latent class analysis to look for phoenotypes and a r d s. And i'm hoping to day that you can just tell us a little bit about how latent class analysis works, for those of us that may be listening and maybe not familiar with it. So latentjust means essentially hidden, or sort of under the surface. It's actually testing a hypothesis regarding the number of sub groups given a particular data set.
