Celine Siamma's Water Lilies
This is Celine Siamma's fourth film. I've seen water lilies. I haven't seen tomboy. But even so, you know, there is this deliberate, stylistic, really incredible vision here from the very first frame of this movie. And one of the things that strikes me about it is just the confidence in the filmmaking. There's a little bit of the magic that came together on this movie that really elevates it beyond like, it's this little French film about this little romance. It's not little in that sense.
