It's worth remembering that we do have evidence of ancient people being inspired by other people. The way they styled their hair, the cosmetics they used, the clothes they wore, and they copied them. They set the fashions, and then everybody else copied them. So i think that its it certainly make sense that we would see that in other areas of ancient life as well.
