You're Not Putting Your Hand in the Kitty Lit

You have to be able to work yourself from shame to guilt and then acknowledge it, talk about what it must have been like for the other person. I love that because you're really saying name with their experiences first rather than immediately defending yourself. If they don't see it modeled in a healthy way, exactly. So be yourself. It's better to lose it occasionally and make a repair than to be some kind of inauthentic.
