How much the CFOs are engrossed in the day-to-day management of the business, both short-term and largely short-term took me by a surprise. I think numbers and data and analysis is both the table stakes but also the anchor by which you can then springboard and drive a lot of discussions. On the softer side of the equation, it's all about influencing - how do you really influence the key executives?
