The Differences Between Data Analysts and ML Engineers
The needs and the constraints on both sides are intricately different too. Can they use the same technology and processes and live in the same repo? In my experience, that doesn't tend to work so well. The question is how long you go together before you diverge into different systems or different use cases. That's a give it a shot, but I would say you're likely to succeed is not guaranteed.

For business analytics the way that you model the data in your warehouse has a lasting impact on what types of questions can be answered quickly and easily. The major strategies in use today were created decades ago when the software and hardware for warehouse databases were far more constrained.
