The Effect of Music on Study Tasks
Listen to a few seconds of seemingly endless time, which is one of the Death Angel tracks that the researchers used in this study. It's impossible to get any work done with that in the background, I think. But look, it's not even that simple. We're all different too. There are individual differences. What works for me might be very different to what works for you. So our final dimension is kind of matching the music choice to the task you're working on. And we'd agree that different sorts of tasks need different levels of concentration. You can probably afford to listen to some music that's more engaging, more distracting.
