Is Parmenides a Fool?

"There is what is and there is what isn't. And what isn't can't exist, and what is must exist," he says. "Parmenides doesn't claim that, hey, here's he here's what it would look like if you were to do that." The authors of the book are trying to incorporate ideas of parmenides into their examination of reality, but they end up abandoning monism in favor of atomism.
