Football is rarely trusted immediately. Market players and agents need time to be convinced of its authenticity, as they are the claimed ambition of any new owners. The newly acquired club may not be playing in the champions league, or even european football at all. While the club might become wealthy overnight, its facilities may not be of good enough standard to attract players used to first in class luxury. Those kinds of issues can take s to rectify. But it does require a strategy, and that's where stepping stone players have their place. Most desirable players are already in positive positions so omising opportunities on a delay like three years is a more difficult cell.
