How to Help People Learn by Making Mistakes

Tennis coach Bob Bryan says players need to be challenged in practice. He believes that if a player isn't making mistakes, they're not really learning. Players should play cross court rallies but don't do too many of them because it doesn't simulate actual tennis points. The right way to learn is by doing things the wrong way rather than the correct way.
