The Effect of Fathers on Violence

The men organized into teams so that there would always be more than one father walking the halls over a period of several days. They called them dads on duty. And all the men did was walk down the halls, smile at people, and give them the dad look. Within about one week, all the violence stopped. In fact, the newspapers said it stopped immediately. It was such a profound change in atmosphere that the media began to come to the school and interview both the dads on duty and the students. There's something about the presence of fathers that brings protection that speaks of care that speaks of safety. Fathers protect. They also promote.
