I Think the Russians Are Going to Continue to Fight This War

We've been talking about making ukrane a member of nata since two thousand eight, but we actually haven't got a them any closer to being members than they were then. And b, it's not clear that we had a coherent strategy. What we did was set up the idea that they would become members only never, and at the same time leaving them very vulnerable. As a result, we did not arm them sufficiently well to deter the russian invasion. That is, of course, why putin wasn't deterred.
