We tend to overestimate the effect of a technology in the short run and undermisestimate the effects in the long run. Are you net positive or net negative when you look to the future? I do think it's so true that we overestimate the short term, i would say, three to five years, and underestimate for the long term. A lot of things that seems may be a little bit like science fiction can really work.
