How Does the Expedential Model Get Us Wrong?
Solar has increased by an average of forty six % every year. If we were to project that expediential growth rate with a constant rate to day, we would be off by two and a half times. And so that's why we think it's really important to use an s curve rather than an expedential or a linear model. You also get it wrong with a linear model, because it's accelerating. So we think the most reliable rate that we can use is the maximum growth rate as a bench mark.
