The Uruk Period - A Brief History

Uruk was most influential of all the southern mesopotamian cities of this period, as it appeared to ben them most when studying its own expansion. Doctor julian read has suggested that workers may have been paid with grain, and that this would have been carried in the bowl. This is a very interesting suggestion, as in a class base society, anybody without skill or leadership qualities would have been consigned to the working class. And that they would have been the people assigned to plough the fields, to remove the silt from the waterways and even to fire the clay bowls.
