The Relatability of a Movie

Is there any difference in the betrayal you feel when your parents are supposed to take you to get ice cream, or a business partner stabs you in the back? I think so. And i think it's dependent upon the individual. If you put it out in front of a mass audience, relateability doesn't have a meter. Mostis is relate or it's not, right? Is it is or it isn't.
