The Dialectical Tension Between Being and Non Being

For most of the ancient and medieval philosophers guess what, metaphysics comes first. This is going to be a big departure when we get to the enlightenment because the enlightenment guys, they flip it. They say, you know what, all this metaphysical stuff even at all possible. But for the ancient medieval guys, it's the other way around. Knowledge must be grounded. It cannot be mere opinion. Opinions are like fluxion; they're tied to sense data. True knowledge goes beyond the mind into the form in which intuitive flash says "I think he uses that language"
