The New Statesman's Rachel Conner looks at the government spending spree. Is this story the slam dunk that Labour thinks it is? I'm struggling so hard to try and get excited about it because they were very, the sort of Labour communications team were really pushing this hard last week. It felt a bit like the crystal maze or like a really weird only connect puzzle or something like that. And then we got it and it was, yeah, there's some spending and there's some waste. But the thing is, the numbers involved are actually quite small in the scheme of government budgets and sort of billions that are spent here and there.
