I think that going out of the infrastructure first perspective is where I've seen most developer platforms founder. These days, most customers do not use the majority of features available for any given service. They have solidified to a point where you can responsibly build on top of these things. And once you've found a lot of those aspects, being able to templatize that and roll that out on an ongoing basis feels like it's the right problem to be solving.
