We're Not Going to Run Out of Diesel Fuel

A diesel is set to run out somewhere around the 15th of November. That's what they estimate, including the local filling station. They will be out of diesel. Sounds right. The point is that diesel isn't running out. This is just a dumb lie. If Alex believed this for a second, he would be freaking the fuck out. And not just reporting this as some kind of weird conspiracy about the elections. I'd be like, no, this is not the world gonna die. He knows this is meaningless. But the audience doesn't stick around unless you give them ample reason to be scared. So he just tosses this bullshit on the pile, knowing it means nothing.
