The Importance of Religion
Buddhism has an idea of there being a real moral order that is actually a moral universe. Actions have consequences, although maybe not in the way we always expect them to. And I think religion proper or the profound Buddha region is telling us that's the direction or that is the northern star around which to orient your life. The rest of your life is in relation to that. We don't really know what it is. Life is a mystery. Religion is therefore a very important thing. In fact, it is the most important thing.
