Denni carise is the clinical psychologist and chief science officer at recovery centres of america. She remembers first seeing ted's story, after hearing his voice over video for a programme about homeless people who have lost their homes to drug addiction. "My first thought was, going back to recovery, this ideao, don't get too well too fast," she says. The stigma of having in adiction is really significant,. And then the stigma of having a relapse or recurrence and needing to go back to treatment - it's even worse because people figured you got treatment. Well, i guess you didn't. When toy needs treatment, it's difficult to say, i need help.
