The Evolution of Southern Dialects

When the, when movies and stuff portray someone with a Southern accent, sometimes they, the, that skits collapse. I think it's more that you would want actors that are from the area and natively speak the dialect you're targeting. Unless you get that, um, when they train actors to speak certain dialects,. They pick out very salient features that people will be able to recognize as that dialect.
