Severian and the Nenafars

Severian thinks that Drought and Roche believed it was because they were going to be locked out again. But he believes that Iata actually figured out the real reason, which was the Nenafars. He says his eyes were open, but he couldn't see anything through the web. And he felt like his arms were moving and flailing, but his body can't. So he sees Master Mel Ruvius, who died several years before. We get that confirmation of the dead master.
