Is There a Role for Anger in King's Writings?
In his autobiographical writings, King describes indignation as a political emotion. He tells us about some formative events that kind of happen when he was a kid. For both king and his father, indignation is something that arises when there is an affront to their dignity. And so the affront to his dignity is just too much. This appropriately leads king's father to serve despite the consequences.
