In the April AMA you talked about whether the concept of emergence can be used with respect to human societies. This may be curious to hear your thoughts about an adjacent topic. Do you subscribe to the great man or great person, theory of history, or individual leaders drive the course of human history? Or do you subscribe to something more like historical materialism where the bulk forces like economics, technology, and culture drive the evolution of human history?" Maybe someday we will know, but now we certainly don't.
