Picture this, youâre leading a normal life. Youâve got a good career, a family, and then, without warning, you start having spontaneous out-of-body experiences. You start traveling to strange realms, encountering other intelligences, experiencing worlds you swear are just as real as this one. This is exactly what happened to broadcasting executive Robert Monroe in the late 1950s. Before Bob knew it, he found himself in the midst of a truly life-altering multidimensional journey that would change the course of everything for him and thousands of others. In his book, Journeys Out of the Body, Monroe documents dozens of these out-of-body experiences, but thereâs one chapter that's always stood out to me. In it, the narrative takes a dark turn. In this chapter, after years of explorations beyond the body, Monroe establishes surprising connections between out-of-body experiences, consciousness and the UFO phenomenon. He also reflects-- What does it all mean? Why are we here? Whoâor whatâis running the show? And what are they after? His answer to these questions is not pleasant. It involves something far wiser than we are. Something cold and something ancient. Something that wants to harvest us as resources.
