The carpal tunnel is created by a Roman arch of bones, just like the Roman arches where that central core wedges in and keeps that arch intact. Then we have a tie bar across the top, which is a very thick, transverse carpal ligament. And it creates a U-shaped parabolic invertebral parabola tunnel through which the nine flexor tendons and the median nerve pass.
