The Importance of Understanding No Prescriptions

The Buddha's writings have been around for hundreds of years. Who has gotten enlightened by reading any of the four noble truths? There is temples and Buddhist temples all around the world. Nobody can be prescribed his way to success. If that were true, then you could very easily be prescribed to enlightenment because the prescriptions all exist in spades.
