Diabetic Diabetics - Trigger Finger

trigger finger is when there is mechanical obstruction of the tendon at the first annular pulley in the palm. This causes pain and kinley too, sudden extension of the digit. It affects about two percent of the general population but up to 20 % of patients who have diabetes. The ring finger is most commonly affected, followed second by the thumb.
