Maddie also called Jack 3 times between 2.44 AM and 2.52 AM so this means it's safe to assume that the two girls were still hanging out together. Police believe the murders took place in the early hours of Sunday morning several hours before the 911 call came in probably sometime between 3 and 4 in the morning. The mayor of Moscow, Idaho described the murders as quote a crime of passion though he didn't make it clear what his basis for this statement was.
