The Meaning of the Transfiguration

Atheists will say, fine, even if you can establish this, what about the meaning? I mean, it's a fruitless endeavor, because everybody has their own spin on what the text means. What I do is I start with the New Testament, and actually I'd like to know your opinion on this, Scott. If you read between the lines on the Transfiguration, it seems that there are people who doubted whether this was a literal account. And he basically says, look, we heard with our ears, we saw with our eyes, this is the account.
