The Virtue Signal of Democracy
I vote and I do so very carefully. I engage in protests here in Italy against bad policies. Participating in the poll tax demonstrations in the 90s when I was very young indeed. And one of the things I love doing is discussing the moral obligation to vote and participate in the democratic process. Like all complex human behaviour, politics is an art as much as it is a challenge. Most of us are all beginning artists at best. Hey you Buddhists, please remember that.
