The average interest rates are about 5% to 6%. And this last 12 years of less than half a percent is not normal. People have got the context completely wrong because the last 12 years interest rates have been artificially suppressed. You need to speak to a broker and get professional advice at the time. But most people don't understand this because they only know the year they're born in. The good thing about rates going up is if rates go up and mortgages get really high, what's going to happen to prices? Good. They're going to have to come down.
