Ers a variety of different arguments here. One common one emphasize how the israelites are evil and therefore this judgment it's specifically for them because they are evil. The flood has already been mentioned, so that's an important one as well. And so threshere's a variety of arguments like that god defends this seemingly violent act among his own people.
