Janelle Badjalak is an acting assistant professor at the University of Washington in the Department of Emergency Medicine and she's also an intensive care physician. How do you manage these patients before they get upstairs to the catholab or the CTICU? Yeah, I think like the most important thing is identification of the fact that the patient is in cardiogenic shock which is a really important point. And then identifying the fact that this is a problem of poor cardiac output with elevated filling pressure.
