The Death of Tiberius

In 37 AD, death finally came knocking for Tiberius. Some sources claim that the now 77-year-old emperor who had ruled Rome for 23 years simply passed away in his sleep. Coligula was also fond of telling people that he used to creep into Tiberius' room at night and stand over the sleeping emperor with a brandish knife.
