Why You Shouldn't Stop and Toss Away Scripts
The new movie Menari which I thought was just great is a lot of world building. There's nothing about this approach that tells me pretty quickly that it's going to have a new enough angle that I'll want to keep reading. A great main character is a is a character who's fully committed to a terrible plan. And then the second thing I look for obviously is voice, you know, just that that isn't cobbling together the voices of other writers.
