The most common mistake that I see is when students use wish when really they should use hope. With hope, we're normally talking about present desires and things we think are likely to happen. Whereas with wish, we are also talking about things in the present, but we're talking about things that are more impossible or unlikely. So let's explore that a little bit, give you a little bit of context, give you some confidence that you can use hope in that way as well.
