Whitney: For us we don't have these thick forests like in Washington State or in Montana where I fought fires before. We have a lot of weather known as fast burning fuels so a lot of grasses and shrubs which can spread very quickly through an area. How do you prepare for that? It's being honest with yourself but also with your friends and your family members and your crew members that you're going to work with, Whitney says.
