Diversity Training in Corporations

Diversity training in corporations began to change as affirmative action laws were being curtailed by the federal government. Critical race theory and affirmative action have a deep historical relationship because affirmative action is the incentive structure that they're trying to maximize around. Gender diversity education emerged during the 1970s and 1980s when old two four hang on diversity education in the United States expanded in the 1990s to focus on barriers to inclusion for other identity groups. The broader view of diversity has watered down the focus on race to the extent that it is no longer seriously dealt with in training.
