The Dickinson's Use of Glycerine for Epilepsy
The 19th century listing of medical uses of glycerine in Amherst's Jones Library includes a recommendation for epilepsy. The prescription was always requested by hand in Boston. Emily never wore eyeglasses, but it is known that the most minor forms of epileptic seizures involve vision impairments.
