Today, I heard the use of the word, up some when Jeremy Bowen was asked to summarise events in Ukraine. Is it just a, what is it, a journalistic twisting up of sum up? Yes, or summing up because I think it's used mostly as a noun. Those kind of compounds are becoming more and more popular because they're pithy. You know, we're speaking with our fingers these days. We're sort of trying to be as simple and as quick as possible on our screens and I think this helps. So, it's just shortening
