The Meaning of History

When you were studying at harvard, you wrote the meaning of history, reflections on spengler. But there was no me then that every aspect of a society is really part of a historical tcheme. And so you can see am a sort of structure, a meaning in the past. Well, not a literal because events appear unpredictebly and each generation has to react to them by the values and standards and convictions it has developed. Themes sted appear. They have to be looked at by analogy.
