Bundler's came out of the requirements of working in a news room. The tools that were dominant at the time just, frankly, didn't do a great job of delivering efficient code. A few years ago, s modrules were starting to become a thing and it seemed like there was an opportunity to rethink how bundler's works based on the new ive modral syntax.
