Thena S King of the Gods

In the canaanite version, yam. Thena s seeks to rule over all. So they call on a young god, who defeats the threat and is acclaimed king of the gods. Baal kills him, but is in turn slain by mote death personified. Baal is eventually resurrected with the help of his sister anat, and survives to rule the world. There are many other combat stories in the ugritic literature. They tell of the monsters rahab, behemoth and leviathan.
