The Myths of Sexual Assault Victims
Dr. Gary Bell: There's a lot of stigmas around sexual assault survivors. They were attitudes that promote and permit rape, rape, pervade. Only 32% of rapes are reported to police; many victims report they are met with skepticism when they discuss what has happened to them. Incest is a highly stigmatized type of assault but some places in society still accept it.
